Genuine vintage textile from the 1930s Vintage Guatemala Dress in women's size small, in pre-owned gently worn condition, this collectible dress features extensive and laborious hand-embroidery geometric designs and it is offered as a collector's item and not as an everyday wear.

Geometric designs, coloring process and detailed hand-work found in early Guatemala textiles is no longer easily found today, there is a marked difference in pre-1950s embroidery work from that region of the world.

This Vintage Guatemala Dress with an elaborate and exquisite embroidered sailor collar is balances the heavy embroidery of the pleated skirt, the sleeveless bodice has a metal side zipper closure, this dress is crafted in 100% cotton fabric colored a dark reddish purple.

Although not original to the dress and post-1950s a hand-woven "faja" belt is included, making this a two-piece set of authentic ethnic handcrafted textile collectibles.
